The buzz from the EKU Pro Day was that no team sent a Head Coach or D. Coordinator. Folks reading between the lines says this point to Noah Spence not being as high on team's wishlist as Mock projectors have him. The Bengals was one of only 20 NFL teams to even seen a positional coach.

If you're referring to Hayes, he's with Tampa.

Probably referring to Haslett or Burney.

The article I read didn't mention names only:
Quote:Scouts and coaches from the Bengals, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Lions, Falcons, Jets and at least 18 other teams were in attendance.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/199303/noah-spence-improves-on-combine-40-with-faster-pro-day-showing

But another article did mention Hayes:

Quote:The most telling aspect of the workout might have been who wasn't in attendance. Representatives from 28 NFL teams were on hand for the event, but there were no head coaches or general managers in attendance. Tampa Bay defensive line coach Jay Hayes was the only position coach present.

Not exactly a Pro Day but a WR from University of the Cumberlands ran a 4.19 Forty and had a 45" vertical at a regional combine

How many times do you think Joshua Perry will run the short shuttle and 3-cone drill between the combine and the OSU pro day?

I wouldn't be surprised if that was all he did unless OSU has one of those "fast" tracks for their 40 yard dash. I know all of the Tennessee players run faster on their own track than they do at the combine.

A CB to keep an eye on is combine snub Blake Countess. At 5'10'" 184 he ran a 4.49, 36.5 vert, 10'1" broad and put up 21 reps at the Auburn pro Day. Countess is a graduate transfer student from Michigan and projects to the slot.

Watching path to the draft today it sucked to learn what bucky brooks and daniel jeremiah had to say. Basically depending on how they had guys graded that would effect their finger on the stop watch trigger and/or who they told what. Guy they liked really ran a 4.7.. Reported as a 4.6 or better to the team they were scouting for. Or guy they didnt like ran a 4.6 reported as a 4.4 to the media. Could have something to do with why neither has a scouting job in the nfl anymore. But as far as us home couch scouts go...The misinformation is real. And no matter how good we would like to think we are. We never get the real story.

Cincinnati O-line coaches were on-hand for the Kansas ST workout where Cody Whitehair took snaps at Guard and Center.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000642451/article/whitehair-baby-gronk-impress-at-kansas-states-pro-day

I could get behind Whitehair in the 1st playing Center.

Marvin was seen at the Oklahoma Pro Day. Eric Striker seemed to be the player of interest.

Hope he took a peek-a-loo at Sterling Shepard.

Apparently Reggie Ragland had a very bad pro day. Scouts said he looked very sluggish and slow in drills. Also didn't run the 40.

Ragland also only benched 225 lbs 13 times. 28 linebackers benched at the combine. 12 of them benched 20 or more. Only one got less than 15.

Busy day today, BD already mentioned Lewis at Clemson, also:

Guenther at Miss State
Burney at Illinois
Urban at Tulsa

We also have a presence at Oregon.

I'd also bet that Marvin or one of the coordinators make the trip to Columbus tomorrow for OSU's pro day.

Glad we are checking out Keyarris Garrett. I wouldn't mind us drafting him in the 4th if he's there.

I'm guessing Lazor has to be the one at Oregon.

Yeah, this would make me very happy and hopefully fix our O-line.

Where WR Charone Peake ran in the 4.3s.

Lawson looked good, but most likely out of our range

They are marketing Dodd as a 3-4 OLB.

McKenzie is my favorite CB in the draft and he ran 4.4. He will go to Pittsburgh if he is still on the board.
