We Signed Nick Scott!
#1
I know there's a thread about the rumors, bu the Cincinnati Enquirer, Twitter and A to Z Sports say it's a done deal!

This is an incredible offseason!

I was worried that we wouldn't do anything and blame it on working on Burrow, but the front office is invested in building a Super Bowl team!

WHO-DEY!

People will come in and trash this signing but he is an ascending Safety that was a RB in college. He hits hard and needs more snaps
to improve. If I have a complaint it is that both Dax and Nick Scott need to learn a ton to get on Bates and Bell's level. Bell wasn't very
good before he got here and worked under Lou though, hope the same is with Scott. He could actually be a great get, we will see.

Yeah happy enough with this. He seems like a player on the rise.

I'm curious if we did though. Every "source" I've seen is just the dude from PFF. No NFL media people have confirmed it at all.

Maybe they don’t consider this a signing worth confirming. Lol

But seriously, I’m ok with it.

How do you post/embed Tweets?

Seeing more Tweets all over saying that the visit went well and we're working towards a deal. Signing is imminent, or so it seems.

Some Tweets have been in the last hour, so it appears to still be on.

I love that our front office is putting in work!

I see that. It says, "The Bengals on Thursday agreed to terms with free agent safety Nick Scott, according to initial reporting by Jordan Schultz."

I wish I knew earlier it was a report from Schultz. That guy is seemingly always wrong. Lol

Scott sucks. Maybe he'll get better, but if he doesnt...it could expose our CBs.

Top right of the tweet there's the 3 dots. Click on that and it should show "embed tweet" click on that and it'll take you to a page with the tweet and above that there's a blue button that says "Copy Code". Click on that and then head over to your post here on the board. Right click and paste (or Ctl + V to paste) into your reply box and it should spit out a big block of text and the like. At the very end of that remove the part bracketed by the word "Script" in <> and then you're good to just post away and the tweet will appear in your post.

Is there much ascending you can do at 28. I feel like that’s a title for a 25 year old player on their second contract. We weren’t getting a Bell quality Safety. I figured that so I’m not moved by the signing. I preferred a 25 year old Rapp. Who I could be sold was ascending.

I like it better then the Ford signing.

I’m not sure it takes safety off the board. He is a teams ace so maybe this is a replacement for Thomas which would make this a better signing.

View the Tweet in your browser. Click the 3 dots in the top right corner. Click embed tweet. Click copy code. Paste here.

For me, embedding a tweet isn’t an option while viewing a tweet within the app.

It also discourages from adding exclamation points after every sentence. Ninja

Well, catching the possible jump-the-gun report early in this thread, unlike the Apple thread. In that one, it was on page 5 of the comments before someone had the realization there was no official report anywhere that he had signed.

Nick Scott’s not a significant get. He’s depth. I really hope they don’t have designs on him starting and would rather have saved this coin for CGJ or Rapp.

It wasn't until literally just right now that I realized Apple hadn't re-signed. Lol

There was a "who do you want in FA day 3" thread I posted in today and I didn't even mention a CB because I thought Apple was back.
