***Week 18 GameDay Thread - Ravens @ Bengals***
(01-08-2023, 03:59 PM)TheCincinnatiKid Wrote: The defence is Baltimore's best shot at today. I just don't think Baltimore's offence is going to do enough today to be able to rely on FGs from 17-0 down. Like any 4th down call, it always looks a bad idea if you don't make it.

And the defense has a realistic ability to score as well.  So passing on taking points to go for it with both a 3rd string QB and RB could come back to haunt them as well.

Lol

Nothing to laugh about. That looks to be Harbaugh’s strategy.

You mean 4 to 1 pass ratio isn't the answer?

Get the ball back; a fumble, a pick, or a three and out would be nice.

I'd imagine we don't want to put too much on tape since we are most likely playing them again next week.

That last reception brought Chase’s receiving yards down from 1,001 to 999 for the year.

I was referring to punting with 20 seconds left on the play clock!

Hits on both Boyd and Chase were PFs.

Really have to question the NFL adding the 17th game. These guys are all starting at QB in the early games today:

Joe Flacco
Skyler Thompson
Davis Mills
Sam Ehlinger
Nathan Peterman
Anthony Brown

Impressive.

Not against the Ravens. They’re too good against the pass.

Not laughing at the  possibility,  laughing at the scumbaggery of it all.

The Bengals were up 22-0 in their last game played at the half and then nearly lost. This game isn't over, you can't just coast with backups already.

Maybe. There's arguments for both. I just think you may need to gamble for those extra 4 points when you need at least 17, and haven't recently been scoring 17. Obviously Harbaugh thought similar, but fortunately it didn't work.
