Yes, my primary motivation for voting for Trump would simply be to get the Biden administration out of office. Yes, there are plenty of possible things that could cause me to not vote for either, or even write in Joe Manchin.

If Biden isn't in charge then someone more competent than Biden is in charge and it isn't Donald Trump, so I guess I'm filing this under "too good to be true."

We've seen 4 years of both in charge & they both have already crossed lines that I don't agree with.

But, are you better off than you were 4 years ago?

Is the country?

Is the world?

In May of 2020..
US unemployment was over 13%
COVID deaths world wide were close to 7 million and in the US 1.1 million
George Floyd was murdered which set off a summer of unrest
consumer goods were still in short supply.

So hell yeah, we are better off today than 4 years ago

Same here.  Trump 2024 has too much of a "burn it all down" vibe that I'm not into now that I'm actually secure and piecing a decent life together.

Price of gas was $2.69 a gallon.
Price of groceries items was 30% less
Interest Rates were around 3%
Inflation was 1.4%

All of the items have doubled or tripled since 2020.

We had ISIS eliminated and in no wars.

Now we are in 2 proxy wars in Ukraine and Israel

The George Floyd protests inflicted billions of dollars in damages to Democratic cities inflicted by Democrat far left groups. Fast forward to now and these same groups are wreaking havoc for Jews on college campuses in throughout the US

I suggest you speak to those under 30 starting out in life, their lives are in ruins. Over 60% of voters are living paycheck to paycheck, retirement accounts are being depleted, credit card debt is the highest in history with the highest credit card rates also the highest in history.

You act as if you care so much about women, yet it is OK Biden lets in over 10 million illegal immigrants resulting in the deaths of Lalen Riley and others.

Drug use is worse due to our Biden open border.

I am glad you are better off today than you were 4 years ago, I retired and so am I. But most are not doing better or the same, they are doing worse with Biden's economy he created with poor economic policy. His economy never got traction; God forbid we get another Pandemic under Biden if he wins the next 4 years.

Trump had a great economy and wages outpaced inflation. Biden is just the opposite. As for unemployment, do some research on those job reports. You will find job growth numbers are fueled by illegal immigrants, not US citizens. You will find US citizens had to add part time jobs which increased the number of jobs, but full time employment has declined under Biden. Unemployment numbers are better because a lot of unemployed workers used up their unemployment eligibility, there are limits on how long unemployment can be claimed.

But keep beating the Bidenomics is great drum, just makes you look very out of touch with reality of Biden's lack of good economic policy.

I'd tell them to stop getting worthless degrees and buying avocado toast and $9 coffee.  I realize Joe Biden sucks ass, but we need to stop giving people a free pass to "be in ruins" every 4-12 years when a democrat hold 1 non-legislative position.

If you're under 30 and your life is in ruins stop buying useless crap and work more.  This is like one area where I agreed with overly-simplistic conservative talking points, but I see people getting all soft on people dropping the ball on their financial situations because it's more important to lay blame on politicians you don't like than it is to actually try to instill a sense of work ethic and thrift in younger generations.

Either that, or when someone like Trump is in office put more into your 401k and invest and save more money, because saving your pennies for a rainy day ain't just words to an old song. We shouldn't encourage anyone, much less younger people, to expect a change in the government to save them from their poverty.

Well said. Both of our sons are what I would describe as "late term Millennials", both of them work their tails off. One is a letter carrier with the USPS and the other is rising through the chain as a material handler transitioning to purchasing. Both work overtime most every week, miser their money much better than I, and I couldn't be more proud of them. Our daughter is the idealistic one, thankfully she married a young man who went into the USMC and expanded his already broad technical knowledge to become an aviation electronics specialist. He'll make more money than any of us in the immediate family, provided he lands a job with the airlines when he completes his enlistment. So that's two later Millennials and one Gen Z, all with killer work ethics and sound moral values.

I'm not sure where all of these lazy Tic-Toc wanna be rock stars came from, but somehow we still put work ethic and character into our kids, and their doing fantastic.

Don't give me too much credit.  I'm willing to pay more for stuff if it means we as a country have more social freedom and can possibly leave a more usable planet for future generations.  Consider me paying more for energy and groceries my version of storming the beaches of Normandy, or something.  No great sacrifice for what I have faith to be the common good.

As for tik tok famous, well I can't blame young people for dabbling in that with a hopes of getting some money and attention.  I figure it's that generation's version of people our age buying electric guitars and wasting a lot of time trying to impress the ladies.  They'll get over it and start slaving away...we all did.

That's awesome, back in college I spent about an entire year trying to learn Bass. I had roommates that were talented, the guitarist could play basically any instrument that made music piano included, the other guy was a drummer.  They held daily jam sessions in our house and I couldn't help but want to join in. Now that I'm in my 50's, I sometimes still get the urge to pick up a bass and thump out a few rhythms. Then my common sense kicks in and says that I'd be better off at a 12 step meeting for former wannabe musicians. "Hello, my name is Sunset and I'm a recovering bassaholic. My main influencers were Roger Waters, Les Claypool and Rex Brown..."

I think Palantir is a major reason that 99% of that Iranian drone and missile barrage launched at Israel a few weeks back were neutralized.

If the only reason you are voting for Trump or Biden is that you don't like Biden or Trump:  Is there ANYTHING your candidate could say or do in the next less-than six months to make you no longer vote for them?

If Biden shot his dog on the White House lawn?  If Trump did a photoshoot with Gavin Newsome?

Is there ANYTHING that would change your mind besides "he isn't as bad as the other guy"?

Because of my understanding of political theories I wouldn't vote third-party in our current election scheme because it results in either a wasted vote or a spoiler vote. So no thank you. So, what could make me switch my vote to Trump? At this point, given the mounds of evidence of his criminality and his autocrat tendencies, there isn't anything. If Biden displayed the kind of selfish buffoonery that Trump revels in, though, I don't know what I would do. Well, I have an idea, but I won't talk about it so there is no evidence of it being premeditated. Ninja

People don't care about that, that's why you've got to vote D because republicans make things too awesome, and do you really want kids these days to have it good when you had it so hard and having it so hard made you such an awesome person?

Sorry, i need proof.

My proof is my wallet and i can tell you that it has been fatter under R leadership than D.

But it's cool, you are ignoring that both of the most recent R's had major events happen on their watch. Bush, 9/11 and Trump COVID. Anything of that magnitude happen on Obama or Biden's watch?
