Gonna go play for Callahan. If he's not staying here going there makes sense they needed someone and he's familiar with Callahan.

Hopefully, he strikes again. Come get Tee for a 2nd & 4th lol.

I also hope this means we are close to getting Fuller at a good price.  Cool

Just because someone has been on the team 1 or 2 years doesnt mean we cant upgrade that position.

how many years do you want to watch him be a turnstile against the run?  Dude was horrible.  We have tried the DE hybid convert to tackle enough to know it doesn't work.   Reader was our only run stopper last year.  Hendrickson doesn't get talked about being an elite end because he is bad against the run.  Sam Hubbard was bad likely because of injuries but still.  We need massive help there.  They don't need to be all world, just not cost you games.

You realize you are agreeing with my point in this discussion?

Chido is gone? How much more betrayal can we take? I feel like Paulie from Sopranos after reading this.

Is Mike Onwenu a good fit for the Bengals?

Looking at the list of the top available FAs, there isn't much available.

I was hoping we would be in the mix for Chris Jones, but thought it was unlikely we land him.
I don't see much as far as top end DTs available right now. Reader is probably the best but his injury is worrisome.
I'm hoping the Bengals get the 1st DT off the board in the 1st round this year.

Other needs would be Right Tackle/Guard and Onwenu played right tackle by the sounds of it. I don't know much about him though. He is only 26..
That would eliminate the need to draft a RT high.

Seems like a lot of older vets on the top 100 list. A lot of players got re-signed late so this FA period seems less exciting than recent years.

This is probably his last contract. Going after a last big payday. Don’t blame him at all. It stinks, but, appreciate him helping us get to the Super Bowl.

The Bengals dont have a RT and Onwenu is young and above average so he could be a good fit.  It would also allow us not to rely on drafting an unknown RT and starting them while freeing up the draft for other positions.

Here are PFF numbers:
2023: 71.5 on a terrible team
2022: 79.3 on a bad team
2021: 87 on a decent team
2020: 84.3 (rookie year)

Yeah, this sucks, really hope we get Kendall Fuller now.

Loved Chido here, too bad he was coming off of injury last year so he wasn't himself.

Browns re-sign Za'Darius Smith and Maurice Hurst.

Hate to see Chido go. He was so good before he got hurt.
