***Official Bengals Free Agency Thread***

I don't even know if he would fit here, but it'd be nice to go after another quality defender that's not in the secondary.

He is gone
At this point.... Sign a top WR and then grab Sewell and O-Line heavy draft.

Gotta love not signing anyone to the worst roster in the NFL and watching the two best FA players you had leave the team....

I mean who wants to win

Zac Taylor is updating his resume on indeed right now.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Lot of could be's being thrown around since the Washington game only to be followed by a lot of not happening.  My confidence in them realizing the urgency to sign a pass rusher isn't too high.
If they wanted to fire Anarumo, they should have just done it. No need to strip his defense of two major contributors and let him embarrass himself any further.
At this point, there is only one position group that you can look at in FA and actually say there is a chance to upgrade the roster and that is WR. Any other FA signing from this point on is a lateral move or a replacement level guy.

As bad as this team was, we let Lawson and WJIII walk, how can anyone expect the win total to improve?

That driver took out guys from both teams who is driving Taylor Mays?

Players would rather play for the Jets than play for Lou. Doesn't help that we're more dedicated to a guaranteed lost season than we are giving guaranteed money to proven players.
"Whose kitty litter did I just s*** in?"

"He got Ajax from the dish soap!"

I mean, they need starters at DE, CB, DT, both OG spots and RT, so theoretically there are likely plenty of upgrades over what they have now.  Will it make them a good team?  Probably not.
Lawson should have been tagged end of story but "flexibility". Dumbass Duke strikes again.

So many believe the way to build is in the draft. If you subscribe to this we are making great moves. We are setting up for top 3 drafts for the foreseeable future. After 22 years we should have 22 top 3 draft picks playing and be a power house. Brown, Tobin, BLACKBURN 22 year rebuild plan.

It was just reported we didn’t offer as much guaranteed beyond the signing bonus, that was the difference.
The bengals are on the clock with the first round pick for the 2022 draft

So even in the most inflated market on planet earth, he still wasn't worth the equivalent of the franchise tag.

It's unfortunate that we lost him but I'm still hoping we make some big splashes with all the money we have.

Sprint to the podium for Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Yeah to Bengals Head Coach 2022 because he is young and needs more time time to build his team around Burrow and also because he needs more time and because they fired Marvin for him and also because he needs more time.   Ninja

The Bengals are the most predictable franchise in NFL history.

No FA at CB that is left will be an upgrade over WJIII, so you are getting worse at CB no matter what.

No FA DE left will be an upgrade over Lawson, so you are getting worse at DE no matter what.

RT has one big name left, and after that, a bunch of Hart and XSF types, that isn't commitment to protect Burrow or even an upgrade.

LG/RG that spot has been raided, there is nothing left there that is a commitment to protecting Burrow, just reclamation projects and hope.

This was a horrible team that actually managed to make itself worse in FA... that is next level screwing up.
