One of my co-workers' children have the day off today and she has to leave work early because of it.
I never got Columbus Day off when I was a kid.

Our school district does NOT have the day off, the next one over does.
But we have more snow days due to the mountains than they do so maybe that's why.

As well as Osage and Cherokee, depending on where you are in the Cincinnati area.
