In fact, everyone agrees Trump "told Russia a secret."Trump himself has confirmed that. And they agree he had a right to do it regardless of classification. The question is about his judgment, whether he should have told the secret without prior planning and input from various advisors. And the question is now about the fallout, how other intel services might revise their policy of sharing intel with the US. And about how other governments now view the US, given the chaos in the White House, all driven by a impulsive and ignorant commander in chief. We seem particularly vulnerable at the moment. RE: WAPO: Trump shared highly classified intel to Russians in Oval Office - tigerseye - 05-17-2017 The Chaos in the WH is being overblown/manufactured by the Main Stream Propaganda Outlets, the unhinged bordering on crazy left, the war mongering neo-cons and the globalists. They all wanted a Presidential race between HRC v. Jeb Bush. That way they own the President and it doesn't matter who wins. But it didn't happen and thats why they are all pissing themselves. The one thing that makes me believe Trump isn't a globalist puppet is because the establishment has lost it. Why don't we support the guy now that he is President and see what he can get done. Everything the guy does is being touted as an impeachable event. The swamp creatures are s@#$ing themselves over everything. That to me seems like a good sign that they are afraid of what he is going to do. Our country is in trouble (Big Time) and Trump didn't make it that way. We have had about 30 years of globalist Presidents who have sold us out. Why don't we back him up and see what he can get done. God Bless America. Why don't we hold our breath until the 2nd(?) coming of "Christ"? Because there are more logical ways to preserve our livelihood. Why don't you move to Russia? RE: WAPO: Trump shared highly classified intel to Russians in Oval Office - michaelsean - 05-17-2017 I'm going to silver line this. Other countries no longer trust us with this kind of intel. They don't tell us these secrets, and therefore they have to handle it, and we are one step closer to being out of the Middle East. RE: WAPO: Trump shared highly classified intel to Russians in Oval Office - Bengalzona - 05-17-2017 The gossip is that the info had to do with an ISIS plot to take down planes and that the info came from Mossad (Israel). Not sure if there is anything to that, obviously. But it would make Trump's upcoming trip to Israel a little uncomfortable to say the least. On a personal note, I hope there is nothing to this rumor. It would have been bad for several different reasons if Trump shared something like that. But the massive media exposure would make it a hundred times worse. I wish, but that seems unlikely. Our people get told this kind of info because we're supposed to deal with it, or because of a trade out. Even if we don't have that kind of info, we're still going to be protecting our interests globally. Too many businesses rely too much on our work as a publicly funded private security & logistics company. RE: WAPO: Trump shared highly classified intel to Russians in Oval Office - BmorePat87 - 05-17-2017 So now we have the newest bombshell: sources say Comey has a memo detailing a conversation in which Trump suggested he stop investigating Flynn. The House is now asking the FBI to turn over any documentation they have regarding this. Possibly obstruction of justice, which would be an impeachable offense. I can see why that would be good for ISIS and Al Qaeda, but why would a broken Iraq and Syria be a good thing for the US? People have been backing Trump, yet he still seems to create unnecessary chaos. The swamp creatures did not force him to hire Flynn or tweet that Obama had wiretapped him and that Comey better watch out because there might be tapes. The war mongering neocons and globalists seem very well represented on his cabinet. And they will benefit from his health care bill and coming tax cuts. No one has been touting everything he has done as an impeachable offense. They are only touting the impeachable offenses as impeachable offenses. What are your news sources? Where do we find the truth the Mainstream Media won't tell us? There are broken countries in Africa that don't seem to phase us. There are plenty of other countries in the world that can deal with the Middle East if they so choose. Broken countries in Africa did not serve as a springboard for the 9/11 attacks and the deaths of almost 3,000 Americans on US soil. One in the Middle East now serves as the "home" of ISIS, which works diligently to foment lone wolf attacks in the US and Europe. What would the consolidation of an Islamic State encompassing Syria, Iraq and Lebanon portend for the US? And with additional satellites in Libya, Nigeria, Somalia and Yemen? If both Iran and Saudi Arabia develop nukes, that will not be just their problem. Our European allies depend on Middle East oil to run their economies, not to mention China, one of our largest trading partners. Two other countries who might be willing to "deal with the Middle East" would be Russia and China. A US vacuum in the region would be a tremendous incentive and opportunity for them to become super powers, with the backing of many countries who would benefit from the stability. One consequence of that might be that the US needs their permission to continuing trading across Asia, from the Middle to the Far East, and have to play by their rules. How would a shriveling US economy affect US unemployment? What if another 9/11 style attack were launched upon the US from a country like Syria, but neither Russia nor China would allow the US a military response? RE: WAPO: Trump shared highly classified intel to Russians in Oval Office - Vas Deferens - 05-17-2017 Dill. You're going to need to slow it down and use pictures to explain this one. Maybe hand out some cheap shwag with phrases they can remember. Something that isn't told to allies, not even to most members of the US government. We have also an idea about the content. It's about a source in a certain city that had better stayed a secret. The ramifications are unclear, but that isn't the best of defenses. Now about combatting a common foe, I wonder why noe would see Russia as this kind of ally. Their allegiance is towards Assad. Big moves against ISIS from Russia are not to be seen. Their goals seem to be quite contrary to those of the US. Plus, it's Russia, the country trying to undermine western democracies. I don't think that everyone who's not a republican is in the anti-Trump conspiracy. There was an uproar in intelligence circles about what trump had revealed, and to assume that uproar just existed for CNN or MSNBC isn't quite reasonable. Because the POTUS has the "right" to do what he did but not the sense to make sure it was the right things to do? Because it's another in a long list of things the POTUS has the "right" to do that reflects poorly on his character and decision making abilities? Because?
