RE: 2020 Election - BmorePat87 - 11-04-2020 https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/26/us/supreme-court-wisconsin-ballots.html Last week's ruling by conservative Wisconsin judges to not extend mail in ballots to up to 6 days if they were mailed by election day could be a factor. Ballots had to have been received by 8pm yesterday, which presents an issues as the USPS ignores court orders to sweep facilities for missing ballots. RE: 2020 Election - bfine32 - 11-04-2020 (11-04-2020, 12:07 PM)KillerGoose Wrote: So, PA doesn’t start counting any ballots until Election Day. They had around 2.5 million mail-in ballots already sent in that they weren’t able to start counting until yesterday, plus voter turnout. They are also going to accept mail-in ballots until Friday, but those ballots have to have a postmark of Tuesday, at the latest. Yeah, seems the Government of PA made a lot of moves. Did I hear right that they will not discount a vote if the signatures don't match? I get bias lends us to take sides on matters such as these, but I think we all can agree we need to do it better and more uniformly. Part of me gets that, then I realize we also have the argument that the election is supposed to reflect the collective will of the states and not the population as one giant mass. RE: 2020 Election - Au165 - 11-04-2020 Seems relevant
