Huck: I should have pretended to be a girl to get into the showers

Honestly .... I don't think any more than anyone else who is different .  I imagine a fat kid feels the same way.   In the end we all wanna fit in, so we find our groups.   No different than anyone Else.

I get they have some weird feelings and all, but everyone has their own crutch in life.   And it's a big deal to each of us.   I think we forget that our deal isn't as big to others as their deal.

With all due respect .... I think you read a lot more into what people say then maybe their intentions.   I don't know what's in his heart.   But I would hope he would have compassion for all.... Now matter how they dress

Never.

I'm 45 years old.  I have never met anyone who faked being gay or a cross-dresser or a pre-op just to see naked girls.

In fact I bet the school would make them shower by themselves if they DID try because, you know, "those types" can't be trusted. Mellow

Well then your one of the few males who didn't try and scheme a way into the girls restroom or try and sneak a peek through the vent.

Sneak a peek?

That is different from pretending to be gay or transgendered just to shower with the girls.

Either way...not just me but literally every person I know.  None has ever "faked" their sexuality just to see the opposite sex shower.

Are you not "one of the few males"? Are you admitting to a crime right now?

63.1% of this country is overweight or obese.

It's kind of sad how detached you are from reality. You're the kind of person who would have said that black people don't have it harder than anyone else in 1960's Alabama.

You make zero sense.   Black people and transexuals are not even in the same Galaxy.

And like i have repeatedly said.... Discrimmination happens no matter what we do.... Everyone discrimminates.... The difference is how people react from that Discrimmination...   By regulating you steal away someone's opportunity for greatness .

So you're not suggesting that life is similar for 63% of the country as it is for the less than 1% trans population?

Also, skin color and gender identity are both biological, so I'm not sure what you're trying to suggest.

and my point still stands as you said earlier that discrimination occurs because those being discriminated against are too weak. Trans people should ignore the people who beat and kill them for being trans.

Probably this woman's problem:

That's a shame at what happened but we all know what happens when black girls think another girl is hitting on their guy or their man is hitting on another girl.    They beat the heck out of the girl.... Especially if it's a white girl.....   Not to mention blacks are very homophobic anyway.

Not saying the beating was ok.   We have a legal system for assault.   No need for a hate crime.   But we all must know our surroundings.

It won't let me edit this in my last post ... But we don't need regulation to know this is a crime. Would be the same crime if a non trans were in there....

Hate crime punishment is not needed. No additional tegulation is needed. Criminals need prosecuted.

As far as her being afraid to get a job because of the video lol. You don't know its her/him until the news story.

The fact that you responded to this with a negative generalization of black people makes your attempts to defend your position even more hilarious.

You also just admitted that some people are still violently discriminatory.

What's [unintentionally] funny about Huckabee's comments is while trying to offend transgenders, he makes a joke that's also offensive to women. A fat, old Gomer Pyle-type fantasizing outloud about creeping on teen girls in the locker room is quite the image!

If his only negative generalization of black people was that they are more homophobic, I could see your point. But considering he has called all people from Africa savages recently and there was more than just the homophobia part in that post, they are completely on point here.

St. Lucie has been getting very racist lately.

But was it not a negative generalization? He was trying to tell me that we do not need discrimination protection and he did it by making a negative generalization about how a group of people are still discriminatory.

Kind of a double whammy in terms of destroying your own point.

I can't say i've paid close enough attention to notice this. I think he was off base by claiming that the white girl would be beaten 'especially'. It doesn't matter if its a black girlfriend or a white girlfriend; i've seen both threaten another girl and it doesn't matter what color they are.

The homophobia comment wasn't really a generalization. That's the point i was making.

Like i said above, i've not been following along closely enough to give a more informed opinion on his intent.

I just read that he made a comment on the black community and it looked to me like you and Dino were starting to say the claim was baseless.

I don't agree that we don't need discriminatory protection. There are levels of crime in every category. If someone is going to suggest removing one, why not remove levels in others? But i digress as that's not a good idea.

But i see what you're saying about the example.

Lucy has posted enough racist thoughts beyond that.  Including pigeonholing citizens of an entire country simply because they are from there.

But I will differ to black being homophobic if the links say so.   Rock On
