Marvin Sticking With Nugent
#1
Per Jay Morrison's twitter, he says "Marvin says gave it a lot of thought and team is moving forward with Nugent"

Also, here's some fun stats about Nugent and why this is a stupid idea.

Nugent ranks 30th in extra point percentage with 86.4%
Nugent ranks 26th in field goal percentage with 76.2%
0-3 from 50+ yards

Marvy said as much to the female sports commentator at the end of the first half. What a load of crap he is.

Damn. Surprising. Marvin never sticks with his trusty old vets.

I heard he mentioned something about getting an extension done with Bodine and Peko too.

Yep, anyone who was seriously thinking Marvin would pull the trigger and do the sensible thing were just fooling themselves.

Maybe someone who shows good enough that he is our kicker next year.

Steelers were forced to find a guy off the street last year and have a new starting kicker.

Nugent is a lame duck. He will probably be out of the league next year.

Nugent is staying because his salary is guaranteed. And that is about the only reason.

Anyone with a leg connected to a working hip socket.

Blair Walsh, maybe? Whatever got in his head in Minnesota, maybe it can be gotten out here. He wouldn't have to worry about pressure to perform for at least 2-3 years.

Stephen ***** Hawking would be better at this point.

At least we'd have an opportunity to learn something neat about the universe and shit.
Everything in this post is my fault.

I agree we should consider Blair Walsh at this point. He's been better than Nugent for a long time and just had a bad year.

I said that before the game was over.  Lewis is not hard to figure out.
