It's disturbing that this type of subtle racism is both accepted and used so casually. Or are you advocating for collective guilt? I'm sure Dill and his stance on Islamic terrorism would certainly disagree with such a position.
In all sincerity, when Dr. King was assassinated he was the most hated person in this country. When you look at political cartoons of the era in mainstream media they portrayed his movement in much the same way BLM was portrayed. On top of that, with how the FBI waged a "war," Hoover's own word for it, against King, it's hard for many people to not see a society as a whole as responsible for his demise.
At least they were mostly right about him being Marxist-Leninist. He was a strong critic of capitalism and espoused many theories put forth by Marx. If only we weren't so scared of those ideas in this country.
