I don't see American politicians as great emissaries for Christ, but that's just my take.  Not enough lovin' of our neighbor and what not going on up in here.

Not going to ever be a poster child for faith or look fondly upon people who make it their identity in politics, so don't consider this speaking up for any bible thumping politician, but I will speak up a bit for America as a whole...

We are #1 in the world in private donations to charitable causes, #1 in the world in non-debt-trap aid for development assistance, and we spend about $51b per year in foreign aid as a government.
