Seems very pragmatic. Of course, there will be those that say all illegal immigrants are, by definition, criminals. Which is definitely true. But, providing a path to citizenship for those non-violent among them is more cost efficient and beneficial than trying to deport them all. Doing this in tandem with comprehensive immigration reform to close the holes in our system that allowed such a large amount of illegal immigrants, as well of funding these plans, would work well for the future.
