All of this stuff happening in places is one reason we have implemented policies to combat child abuse, including sexual abuse, within our church. It is also taking place on a larger scale throughout the ELCA. I read through the guidelines one time and it's amazing to think of all the things that we do to minimize the risk of this sort of thing happening.
