I think there is a disconnect there.  I've taken most of these cases as not that the person killed was always an angel or didn't nothing wrong but rather that they were shot at because they were black vs doing the same thing and being white.

And I'm not saying they are always 100% correct about that assumption...just that that is what they are driving at.
