Are you forgetting that this Country was founded on Us breaking away from Them..  So, you might say that the Us against Them mentality has been around for quite a while.

And, what exactly is wrong with Us (Americans) viewing Them (illegal immigrants) in a negative context?  Every one of them has violated Federal Law, just to get here.  If they have no respect for our Nation's laws at their point of entry, why would I expect them to respect our laws in general society?
