I don't think we've had but a handful of fiscal conservatives in Congress in the last couple decades. 

For simplification for voters, I wish they media would stop using terms like 'conservative' and 'liberal' or even — to a degree — 'left' and 'right.' Just call them Republicans and Democrats. Drop all the misleading monikers and boil it down to simpler labels.
