To the first, no, you do not. With relative frequency, you dismiss those that have the professional bonafides in favor of those that do not.

To the second, that is not your decision to make in a lot of the situations where you do not show common courtesy. Someone's identity is a personal thing, and you subjectively deciding they are or are not what they say they are isn't cool.
