EIFERT OPTING FOR SEASON ENDING BACK SURGERY

There was a decent amount of optimism going into this season but I'll admit I was skeptical a guy who missed so much of 2016 with a "not a big deal" pro bowl ankle injury was going to be A-OK after part of his spine fell apart.  The best part is that Eifert's jersey is the only NFL jersey I have that is even remotely current and now it's going to be just a single shade north of Kijanna Carter in terms of fizzle.
