There is such a thing as the draft pick value calculator.  I've seen folks post it on the boards before.

It seems you hit the nail on the head here. If Arizona for example were to decide to jump ahead of Washington, the 12th pick has a value of 1250 points, and the 15th pick is 1050.  The 3rd round pick for Arizona would be #79 and that pick has a value of 195 points.  I could see Arizona seeking a trade to get ahead of Washington.  I just don't believe that a new head coach is going to go with Blaine Gabbert as his starter.  Would it be worth an extra 3rd pick to drop from 12th to 15th?
