Well, lots of social democrats have flocked to the DSA recently because of the Democratic party being centrist and not even center-left, moving away from the New Deal types of policies. I know some DSA members that are actual socialists that are pissed about it because it is moving the organization away from what it stood for. We have Sanders to thank for it, really, thanks to calling himself a democratic socialist when he is really a social democrat. Lots of Bernie supporters have now joined the ranks of the DSA not realizing that he, and they, are wrong in calling themselves that.
It's just a great way to see how ignorant most Americans are when it comes to this sort of thing.
