The argument that we need a wall to be "safe" is a lie. You are never "safe". You CAN be prepared and diligent...but the criminal can be your neighbor rather than some foreign looking guy.
From my understanding the wall has been touted as a way to prevent such problems from crossing into the US. But you seem to suggest that the wall is about stopping crime in general. Who said this?
