Well, there are big portions of lots of books that are historical. Big parts of lots of TV shows too. MASH is set in the Korean war and Batman (the original TV show) is set in the 1960's. Despite the big historical portions of both shows (a real war, 1960's fashion) I would not call either a history show or a "historical" show.
I also wouldn't call David Copperfield or any other Dickens novel a history book, even though, again, big portions are historical and Dickens stories are set in a real historical period. The point is history books are written in a certain style and with a certain purpose, neither which is evident in the Bible.
