I can't think of anyone I agree with 100% of the time. But if someone wants to push a message of loving each other and being good people I'll take that without criticizing them for the difference we may have.
I have no doubt that the guy is extremely compassionate. For quite a while, it's been the stance of the Church that gay people should receive the utmost compassion as they have been placed in a very difficult position. This Pope is trying to emphasize things like that. I'm not much of a Catholic anymore if at all, but if you read why homosexuality is a sin, you will better understand that they didn't just say, "Gay people are gross. Let's make that a sin." It's the same reason birth control and pre-marital sex are sins.
