If you're comfortable going to a large public sporting event in the middle of a pandemic with no vaccine, the odds that you're wearing a mask are relatively low.
Also, masks decrease the amount of spread through the air, but most people don't have medical grade masks. Most just have cloth masks and, while useful, those only decrease the spread, not eliminate it.
And even beyond masks, they don't prevent you from, say, touching something that has the virus on it and then scratching your eye or eating something. These are ways the virus is transmitted irrespective of the water particles in the air.
Anybody who wants to attend the games should be able to attend as long as they sign a legally binding statement that they will not seek medical treatment if they become infected with COVID-19 ... AND ... that they agree to pay for treatment for anyone they infect with COVID-19 ... AND ... they agree not to sue any person, company or government if they become sick.
