I actually don't think they have ever truly hit on them.

I remember doing a big writeup on all the comp picks they have ever had (might try to find it later), I am pretty sure Landon Johnson in 2004 is far and away the best they've ever had, he was only okay, and the second best wasn't even close.

EDIT: Found it, it's from 2017.

2003, 7th, DE Elton Patterson
2004, 3rd, LB Landon Johnson

2008, 3rd, WR Andre Caldwell
2008, 6th, TE Matt Sherry
2008, 7th, DE Angelo Craig
2008, 7th, WR Mario Urrutia
2009, 3rd, TE Chase Coffman
2009, 6th, RB Bernard Scott
2009, 7th, DE Clinton McDonald

2014, 6th, LB Marquis Flowers
2014, 7th, CB Lavelle Westbrooks

Since then, the Bengals also got...
2017, 4th, DT Ryan Glasgow
2017, 5th, C JJ Dielman
2017, 7th, TE Mason Schreck
2018, 5th, CB Darius Phillips

2018, 7th, WR Auden Tate
2019, 4th, OG Michael Jordan

Darius Phillips could be good, has promise, but still not a good list at all.
