Why Do Libs Have Gender Reveal Parties?

If democrats think gender is just a social construct and a person decides whether they are male or female, then how do they still have gender reveal parties?

Isn't that hypocritical?

Isn't that also child abuse? Telling a baby what gender it is instead of letting it determine for itself?
