When I say I was mildly encouraged, I mean I've seen much worse from him. If he's not flat on his back or getting thoroughly man-handled, then that's a good day for him. If you say his technique is still flawed though, I believe you.

I get the "results" looked better aspect, but plays were often designed to nullify any impact the tackles could have and there are still issues in the technique that might look like a good play but if you know what you are looking for with the technique, you often see the results aren't a repeatable thing.
