I have not read the entire Bible, does it liken the white snow to purity somewhere or something ?

According to the clues in the Bible, the birth should have been at the end of September: John the Baptist was conceived after his father, a priest, returned from Temple service under the priestly division of Abijah, which would have been between June 13-19 (citing Luke 1:1-25 and translating the ancient Hebrew calendar to our calendar). Assuming John the Baptist would be conceived shortly after his father's return (and the Bible makes a bit of a big deal about this) and assuming that it was a nine month pregnancy, John would have been born in late March or early April the following year. The difference in ages between John and Jesus is cited as six months (Luke 1:24-36, Mary became pregnant when Elizabeth, John's mother, was in her sixth month). Therefore, the date of birth should have been around late September or possibly early October.

The church might have been better off picking Halloween as the pagan holiday to replace, eh. Ninja
