Mixed bag. Some took the poison eagerly and willingly (the ones who were really f***ed in the head), some grudgingly, and some had it forced down their throats at gunpoint. They found that almost all of those guards who forced people had also died by drinking the poison afterward too. Jones had convinced many of them that it was Armageddon and that the U.S, military was coming to attack and kill them after they killed the senator.

It was sort of the "You're gonna die anyway!" argument... "so why not have some refreshing Flavor-Aid before you go?!?!?!".

I'm convinced Flavor-Aid could have been more competitive with Kool-Aid if they had just taken that marketing approach afterwards, eh.
