Having gone to school and lived abroad for the majority of my late teens and early twenties, it really gives you another perspective of the United States from the outside looking in. When my wife and I moved back she found the number of flags hilarious.
The zealotry over the flag is rivaled by the fanaticism of capitalism. Any death under a socialist/communist regime (I think those are synonyms in the US
) are directly attributed to socialism and or communism. Deaths in capitalist United States? Let's roll out the list of other things we can blame!
