Duped?  As far as I can tell Trump sold himself on the fact that he:

1. wasn't a politician
2. didn't know how to be a politician
3. didn't care about the actual job requirements of being president
4. didn't follow rules or laws of any kind and didn't care


Oddly enough, the idea that Trump knows how to declassify documents and actually bothered to do it goes against why people liked him in the first place.  We didn't hire Trump because he knew how to, would bother to learn how to, or would actually perform any of those status quo bureaucratic procedures. 

We wanted, nay NEEEEEDED someone who didn't bother following those sissy rules and now that he's being investigated for breaking a bunch of rules suddenly we circle the wagons and talk about what an innocent martyr he is. I support people choosing their own realities, but for the love of god try to be consistent, wouldja?
