Meh, I was also told the right wing "had a point" when their response to illegals was that they were here to do jobs that over-paid and lazy American union workers wouldn't do.  It's just interesting how border-jumpers went from a cheap and hardworking labor force to a swarm of marauding rapists in the same timeframe the GOP went from the party of Reagan and the Bush family to Trump, MTG, and folks who think Hitler had the right idea.  Aka, people who admit they spout half-truths and outright lies for the lulz and/or attention.

Saint Ronnie the republican messiah granted 3 million illegals amnesty, and we simultaneously worship him while sounding the alarm that the border is the most dangerous and relevant thing ever, now.  It just makes you wonder if in 20 years the GOP will be right back to "Hey, illegals are here because we don't have 250 million Americans who are patriotic enough to work for Amazon for the totally OK if you don't buy avocado toast wage of 3 Bezos Funbucks per day."
