I tell this joke only because it is true and I know it to be true because I am a Baptist and know many who believe it.
Anyway, here it goes:
A devote Christian dies and is standing in front of the "Pearly Gates" of Heaven. The gates open and out walks Peter the Rock and escorts this new edition to Heaven through the gates.
As the two walk up the path, over to their left they see a group of people holding Mass and chanting the way monks do. Peter says, "These are the Catholics, they hold Mass twice a day and three times on Sunday".
They walk about five miles up the path and over on their right they see a group of people hooting and yelling and dancing and the man says, "Let me guess...Pentecostal?" and Peter nods his head yes and smiles.
Another five miles up the path, they see another group but Peter quietly say, "We must hurry! Let's go" and they duck down and as quickly and quietly as they can they get past. About two miles more up the path, Peter smiles and says "That was close". The man asks Peter, "What was that all about...who were those people?".
And Peter stops and turns to the man and says, "Those were the Baptists...they think they are the only ones here."
