And so if you don't read local news or don't live in a big city this practice is probably news to you...but states have been using tax incentives to attract and keep businesses for many, many years.
The move was newsworthy not because they gave Carrier tax breaks. The move is newsworthy because it is the exact OPPOSITE of what Trump originally said he would do, i.e. punish them with tariffs.
