I realize this is a jokes and memes thread, but you do realize Jim Jones had many armed guards that prevented people from leaving the complex and prevented people from entering to liberate their loved ones that were in danger, right?  The fact that they chose to leave the USA where a cult holding people hostage with assault rifles might be frowned upon (you know, because of pointless gun control laws)  and set up shop in a more "free" country wasn't likely a coincidence, either.

Anyways, I don't see how the concept of men women and children drinking poison, some of which because they didn't want to be shot or stabbed to death, is really a glowing example for this cause. Also, some of his followers died of gunshot wounds, and some people who were there to document and/or liberate the people who feared for their lives were shot too. Anyways, carry on. Kool Aid = guns, and so on.
