I never understood what this argument was supposed to accomplish. All President's and first ladies get secret service protection not just while they are in office, but for life. Should Obama reduce costs by Skyping into his paid speeches instead of traveling there in person? And I'm guessing the last time Bill and Hilary actually lived together was his last day in office. Out of all the ways the government can reduce spending, cutting back on security for the first family seems like an odd first choice.
