If there is no one else on the road, why I am forced to drive 55? Car insurance is already forced on us all, so there is no need to have speed limits. Plus the police can increase patrols in their areas for actual crime.
I think 70 is a good spot to stick with.
The condition of some of the vehicles on the highways are horrible and likely wouldn't hold together very long, going a higher speed.
So, without extensive vehicle inspections, I don't think I could endorse a removal of limits.
I DO support looking into the speed traps that are established, where the speed is reduced by more than 10 mph by municipalities.
