It already has. Slower, but this is everywhere. Urban areas are no doubt getting hit hard (my sister is a doctor in NYC, shit is biblical apparently) and rural areas will follow. The hope is that the mitigation worked enough to slow the spread in already sparsely populated areas and that by the time the worst hits the rural areas asome of the resources dedicated to the cities can then be repurposed.
My job said that normal operations would resume in the beginning of May, I'd be shocked if things are back to anything remotely resembling normal before July.
