Our immune system makes antibodies, then we move on. Hell, the flu virus is a “best guess” scenario every year. It only contains 4 strains of the virus against multiple type (A,B,C,D) strains that you may come in contact with...and it’s only 40-60% effective..thus the Andy Dalton of Vaccines. We are actually delaying herd immunity and people who are at risk will still be at risk next year and the following year. All social distancing was intended to do was to not overload hospitals, it was never intended to “stop the virus”. I have members who work in hospitals and they are being forced into taking time off because they had allocated so much resources for COVID that never happened and are now losing money. I was told that one facility only used 13% of beds, ventilators and staff that they were told to prepare for. Look, I don’t want people to get sick or die but we must have a common sense approach to this....if you feel you are at risk, take necessary precautions. The quicker herd immunity happens, the quicker we get through this.
And another well written post. I completely agree. I don't wish any harm to anyone but at the same time we have to go on living.
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
