She suspects it was covid and this has been here as long as it has been in China. Considering there were people traveling from China to the states during the beginning of this it kind of makes sense that covid has been in the US for a few months now. Obviously now nation leaders around the world are pointing fingers at China for lying.
My sister and co-worker both with something similar to this in November. I guess it could have been SARS.
