That should give us some sense of his "intent." 

Claiming the election was "stolen" and calling a crowd to be on hand at
precisely the moment the election was to be certified, knowing many were armed 
and telling them to take their country back . . . 


Then, as Commander in Chief, watching them riot in the Capitol for over two hours
ignoring pleas to stop it.

I'm in agreement with you, but I can see Trump's side argue that "it's not my fault they chose to do that, I was just talking and they chose to take an action on it. Free speech!"
