As we all know, you are one freak play away from your QB. It is nice to know that you have someone who is, at mimimum, a competent replacement and someone who could potentially grow and get better.
McCarron is no Dalton but he is an important part of the team if Dalton were to be injured at some point because he can at least come in and keep you competitive. Many #2's in the league cannot.
No way I'd trade him unless the offer was crazy good.
