Good people of the board! What trades would you like to see the Bengals explore in the next couple of days? I have a couple that I think would interest the board and would make sense to the FO! As usual feel free to submit your trade ideas the more Imaginative the better!
First trade- Bengals trade WR Tee Higgins to the Patriots for DT Christian Baramore.
Why it works- Bengals get a DT to replace DJ Reader & The Patriots get a WR to pair up with their rookie QB.
Problem- If they make this specific trade then they would have to agree to a longterm deal. Which could be a massive amount of guaranteed money that Bengals have shown an unwillingness to pay.
2nd trade Bengals trade pick 18,49, and a 2025 2nd RD pick to the Titans for the 7th overall pick in the draft.
Why it works- Titans get multiple picks in the next two drafts to start thier rebuild. The Bengals get a top 10 pick to aid the team in its effort to go all in.
Problem- It's a deep draft this season; so is the difference between 7 and 18 really that big?

As we know, Sam had ankle surgery at the end of the last season IN addition to a tight rope procedure, he had a complete reconstruction of the deltoid ligament. He was playing the last half of last season with no stability in the ankle...and it showed.
Hopefully, he'll be ready for training camp/ He is still rehabbing so don't expect much during OTA's

2 stats for why 2024 is huge for the Bengals |

This year will decide a lot about what the Bengals should do for their future due to two stats...
1. The last 18 QBs to lose their first SB have never started another SB (and only 4 in NFL history have).
2. No QB/HC duo in NFL history have ever won their first SB together later than their 5th year together.
I think Burrow is a good enough QB that so long as he can stay healthy he can overturn #1. Elway was the last to do it, so it has been done despite the odds being against him.
The fact that no QB/HC duo have ever done the second one in NFL history though makes me think that if you don't have it click and get it done early, it's never going to happen no matter how many years you have together. Without the trophy and ring, the messaging can only work for so long.
So I think 2024 is going to be a big year because playoffs and a win or two isn't going to be enough to maintain the status quo for 2025. It's SB or bust this year. We'd be trying to push two massive boulders up a mountain if we don't win a ring and try to keep things as they are.

Who did you mark out for? |

In the professional wrestling world, “marking out” is when a fan gets overly involved, or wrapped up in the event, suspending disbelief, and common sense, and enjoys the moment.
That said, what past Bengals draft picks, moves, etc... did you “mark out” for?
I admit to marking out when the Bengals acquired Pollack to fix the o-line. I was thinking if Joe Mixon loves the move, the Bengals running game should explode.
I was a big fan of drafting Jackson Carman, thinking if he's got Big Willie's stamp of approval, the kid is going to be a 10 year franchise RT.
What were some of the moves, picks that you were in love with in the moment, but later came crashing down to Earth?
