The Bengals today made the following roster moves:
*Signed free agent DT McTelvin Agim. Agim (6-3, 300), a third-year player out of the University of Arkansas, originally was a third-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos in 2020. He has played in 18 career games — 17 with Denver (2020-21) and one with Indianapolis ('22) — and recorded 14 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two PDs.
*Signed free agent DT Taven Bryan. Bryan (6-4, 291), an eighth-year player out of the University of Florida, originally was a first-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018. He spent his first four seasons (2018-21) with the Jaguars, then played for Cleveland in '22 and Indianapolis from '23-24. He has seen action in 113 career regular-season games with 46 starts and totaled 154 tackles (85 solos), 24 TFLs, 11.5 sacks, three PDs, two FFs and one FR.
*Signed free agent C Andrew Raym. Raym (6-4, 305), a second-year player out of the University of Oklahoma, originally was a college free agent signee of the Carolina Panthers in 2024. He played in one game for Carolina last season and spent the majority of the year on the team's practice squad.
*Signed free agent QB Desmond Ridder. Ridder (6-4, 215), a fourth-year player out of the University of Cincinnati, originally was a third-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2022. He spent his first two seasons (2022-23) with Atlanta, then played for Las Vegas in '24. He has seen action in 25 career games with 18 starts, and completed 374 of 588 passes for 4002 yards and 16 TDs with 14 INTs. He also has rushed 78 times for 293 yards and five TDs. During his collegiate career at Cincinnati, Ridder set several school records, was a two-time American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and helped lead the Bearcats to a berth in the College Football Playoff in the 2021 season.
*Waived G Tashawn Manning. Manning, a first-year player, signed last August to Cincinnati's practice squad, where he spent the entire 2024 season.
*Released QB Logan Woodside. Woodside, a fifth-year player, signed with the Bengals as an unrestricted free agent during the 2024 offseason and spent all of last season on Cincinnati's practice squad.

FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!
Rookies report today with vets following on the 22nd. first official practice is on the 23rd.
Today’s big question is whether Stewart and Knight will sign their contracts. Knight should with the guaranteed money logjam breaking up for the 2nd rounders.
Stewart hopefully will blink. He needs to get out on the field. He can’t practice now until he has a contract…no waivers for TC like during OTAs.
We an also should start seeing some roster moves like placing players on PUP or NFI lists if necessary

What’s going on everyone?!
I haven’t been on the boards because I got hit by a drunk driver on the 8th, which broke five ribs, fractured my skull, broke my arm in two places, and gave me a few other injuries.
Someone on the boards reached out on Facebook (I think), and I apologize that it escapes my memory right now, but I’ve been thinking about all of you!
What’s the big news since the 8th?!
Anything big happening?!
WHO-DEY!

Senior Personnel Director Trey Brown, College Scouting Director Mike Potts, and Pro Scouting Director Steven Radicevic are all officially Assistant General Managers. .
2 thoughts come to mind...How can they have assistant GMs when they have no official GM? and Do we have more assistant GMs than scouts?
Their responsibilities don't change and it is unlikely their salaries did so this is just a paper promotion. They may have adjusted titles to help them, esp Brown, get promoted outside the bengals
Radicevic- he'll continue to oversee veteran free agency and pro scouting, as well as negotiate contracts after setting values and collaborating with coaches on scheme fits.
Potts-Potts manages personnel staff while overseeing the organization and implementation of the draft process and college scouting. He evaluates top prospects nationally, as well as develops the draft board and facilitates undrafted free agency.
He'll continue pro personnel evaluations and is involved in strategy decisions concerning weekly roster management, player acquisition, and unrestricted free agency. Potts also takes part in player contract valuation, salary cap allocation, player retention and negotiation efforts. He also collaborates with the Bengals analytics and football research/technology team to develop improvements and make the personnel operations more efficient and productive.
Trey Brown-Brown is involved in all roster decisions and trades, as well as serving as a contract negotiator. An experienced college and pro scouting evaluator who has been a part of three Super Bowl appearances, Brown provides player evaluations nationally and is a key decision maker during the draft and free agency, as well as in structuring player contracts.

From ESPN survey of league executives, coaches and scouts of top 10 at different positions.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45689023/top-10-nfl-wide-receivers-execs-scouts-2025-espn-jeremy-fowler-position-rankings
Chase came in #1WR; Tee Higgins earned an honorable mention.
Some quotes from article:
"Chase separated from defenders on the field all year, then separated from the pack in these rankings in Year 4. He earned around 70% of the first-place votes after producing the fifth triple crown of the Super Bowl era"
""Honestly, it comes down to Chase is a b--- to cover," a high-ranking NFL personnel executive said. "We are super aware of him and have played him a bunch and been torched by him a bunch."
"Not many NFL players scare defensive coaches more than Chase, whose 787 yards after the catch were 190 more than the next-closest receiver (Buffalo's Khalil Shakir). But the Bengals feel he's still refining his game, with improvements in defensive scheme recognition, attack plans based on coverages and creative route running with different speeds or stem."

#77 Tee Higgins...this is Tee's first time on the list
Quote:2024 stats: 12 games | 73 rec | 911 rec yds | 12.5 ypr | 10 rec TDs
Tee Time, Tee Time, Tee Time! Higgins makes his debut in the Top 100 list. The Bengals WR took a chance on playing on the franchise tag, and his NFL peers noticed Higgins’ performance took a step forward. Injuries did limit Higgins’ availability, but he was a key contributor in Cincy’s offense alongside Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. The trio will have a chance to showcase their offensive talent in 2025 with Higgins and Chase earning a nice pay bump in the summer.
NFL Pro Insight for Higgins: Tee Higgins caught eight touchdowns on targets between the numbers last season, tied with teammate Ja'Marr Chase and Amon-Ra St. Brown for the most among wide receivers. Higgins had totaled 11 such touchdowns across his four prior seasons combined, including just one such touchdown in 2022 and 2023.
last season Trey was #77...he should be much higher this season
Ja'Marr was 45th...he should be in the top 15 this season. Joe was 39th...I would not be surprised if he is in the top 10
