I get it. The Bengals are a very talented team and have been blessed so far with having little in the way of major injuries. I am by no means suggesting to change the successful formula. However as we approach week 13, I can't help but think it is time to see the likes of Dawson, Kroft, Hardison and particularly Alford a little. A few more plays here and there, especially, like Sunday when we had a comfortable lead. Some of the college rust should be dusted off and playbooks/system knowledge by now should not be an issue.
I single Alford out because I don't understand why we are keeping Tate active and leaving this talented and pacey returner inactive. We are barely using Tate on the field, and though I understand he has the ability to be clutch, we will never know what we have in Alford by letting him sit behind a player whose ceiling is evident.
Dawson showed a lot of promise in the pre-season and I can't see how 10-15 snaps taken off Hawk/Lamur/Rey would hurt the team majorly.
If this team is to be successful down the stretch I can't help but feel some of these rookies need to see more time. Even if only to keep some of the vets we have fresher.

Let's go back to the roots of our Fandom. Out of curiosity when did you become a cincinnati bengals fan and why?
You could say I was born into it in 1983 but I remember the day I became hooked on cincinnati bengals football like it was yesterday. It was January 22, 1989, and I was 5 years old. Everyone gathered at my uncles house to watch the Bengals - 49ers super bowl that day.
Now because I was just 5 years old I of course didn't watch the game intently or really even know exactly what was going on in the game. I remember bits and pieces but for the most part it was other things that I really took note of.
First, and really the less important factor, was that my uncle had a huge projector style big screen TV. Those were super rare back then, and while it's laughable looking back at the quality picture that TV put off, it really stuck in my mind just because I thought it was so cool. I remember sitting directly in front of it while watching some of the game. Looking back I probably was doing that just so I could make out who had the ball and where it was because again, picture quality not so good.
The most important reason though, was my family and friends excitement for that bengals team. Their passion and excitement for that team then is why I'm a fan now. After that game I remember never missing watching a game and I still don't to this day. It's been hard at times... Really hard. But my passion has not and will never die. And it's all because of a day the Bengals lost on a January evening in 1989.
So how about you?

Gotta show some love to Peko, he's been a huge disruption to opposing teams, I think Geno has helped to contribute to that but he's doing an excellent job.

Tip you hat to any Bengals player you feel just isnt getting any attention or should get more. From the Defense to the Special teams and offense... All of them contribute in some way..
anyways
My Tip of the Hat goes to Ryan Hewitt... some good blocks yesterday and 2 Very nice catches in the pass game. I know we have to many options on offense but i cant remember a time he hasnt come thru when called on.

Have not watched the game yet, but I saw that Clarke finally got to play a considerable number of snaps (28). i'd say that is probably more snaps than he has played in the rest of his career combined.
Did he do anything?
Did he see any snaps at DT?

Our defense has played well all year and especially stingy giving up points.
They are back to the number 1 scoring defense in the NFL
Geno is back and disrupting offenses each week.
Dunlap and Geno are both top 5 in sacks (we were last in the NFL in 2014 in sacks with around 20 I believe) and huge improvement
Nelson leads the NFL in interceptions with 6
Hall has become a great slot CB
Jones just gets better with age and having an awesome year
Rey M. is an enforcer and proved a year ago he helps our run defense be one of the best on the league
Peko is having a very good year plugging the middle and making vet plays
Burfict is getting better every week
Keep it up defense, we need you to propel us to a top seed and then continue the stellar play in the playoffs
I am sure I missed a few things, but our defense in much improved over 2014
