Chiefs starting CB Phillips Gaines has been ruled out for the season after tearing his ACL against the Broncoos last week.
Chiefs gains starting CB Sean Smith who has been serving a 3 game suspension for a DUI.
Smith was the better of the two, but the Chiefs needed both of them.

I know it's mostly meaningless, but I still find power rankings to be a fun read. I guess I'm just excited about our team right now.
Every website has the Bengals in the top 5, with one site going as high as #3. I can't remember the last time I witnessed this.
Below I present a synopsis from each, arranged best to worst.
Yahoo: #3
"Make no mistake, playing at Baltimore against a Ravens team that knew it had to win to realistically remain alive this season, and being down twice in the fourth quarter and still winning ... very impressive."
Bleacher Report: #4
"Green exploded against the Baltimore Ravens when he caught 10 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Both scores came in the final 6:37 of the game. His performance was so good, it overshadowed Steve Smith's 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens. Smith couldn't help but recognize his counterpart after the game for his fine play."
NFL.com: #4
"Big win for Andy Dalton and company. The much-maligned Cincy quarterback hasn't endured as much, well, maligning this season. People are starting to show the Red Rifle some love. Other than a forced red-zone throw to A.J. Green (and who could blame him for doing that?), Dalton was clutch."
CBS: #4
"The Bengals are playing as well as any team in the league right now. Andy Dalton has never been better."
ESPN: #5
"Tyler Eifert exploded in Week 1. Gio Bernard led the way in Week 2. And someone named A.J. Green made his presence felt with a career-high 227 receiving yards in Week 3. Lots of options for Cincy."
Sports Illustrated: #5
"The top three QB ratings in the league right now belong to Aaron Rodgers, Andy Dalton and Tom Brady, in that order. Anyone questioning Dalton's place there either has not watched Cincinnati this season or is waiting for September Dalton to morph into Playoff Dalton. Maybe, just maybe, the fifth-year starter has turned a corner.
FOXsports: #5
"I know -- you want to see Andy Dalton succeed in the postseason before you believe in the Bengals. With the postseason a long way away, all Dalton can do now is continue to dominate the regular season. So far, he has 866 yards passing, a 66.3 completion percentage and eight touchdowns to just one interception."
Thoughts? Opinions?

I have been reading the typical sports sites (Yahoo, Espn,.....) and it seems they are all in agreement that since Roethlisberger is hurt we have a "a good chance" to control the division now! Yes!!! Thank you St. Louis. Now we can win the division since you hurt the competition!!
Uhhh, here is a news flash! We were controlling the division regardless of the injury and the goal is to win the Superbowl! I know the Bengals haven't won a playoff game with this team yet, but anything less than the AFC championship is not acceptable this year.
Who Dey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dunlap Treats Women With Breast Cancer & Survivors To Spa Day! |

Carlos Dunlap lost his great aunt and his mother to breast cancer, so he's giving back and giving them a day of relaxation and enjoyment:
Quote:With such a first-hand understanding of the day-to-day challenges that breast cancer sufferers go through, Dunlap decided part of his foundation's mission ought to hinge on making life, even for one night, comfortable for those who have been through their respective battles with the disease, and those who continue to fight.
So Wednesday evening, Dunlap and a few teammates will be hosting a "Spa Day" at a local salon for a group of breast cancer survivors and those currently undergoing treatment. It's the second time he has held such an event. Facials, pedicures and massages are on the menu for those attending. Dunlap admitted that even he would be getting a pedicure right along side them.
"I want to give back to these women and celebrate their lives by giving them a time where they can relax, have fun, and get to know other cancer survivors like themselves," Dunlap said. "They are a true reminder of what real strength is."
The event coincides with October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Like other teams around the NFL, the Bengals on Sunday will be recognizing people who have been through breast cancer, those who are going through it, and those who have served as a caregiver for a breast cancer sufferer. Players will wear pink trimmings on their uniform accessories, women attending the game will receive pink scarves at the entrance gates, and pink ribbons will be handed out to any person who wants them by members of the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha.
If there was ever a year for the Bengals to recognize those who have been through the disease, this is it.
Breast cancer has hit the Cincinnati Bengals hard recently.
In April, Christine Zampese, the wife of Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese was diagnosed with the disease. Around the same time, Mary Jane Combs, the wife of assistant public relations director P.J. Combs, received her own diagnosis. Both women remain in the middle of their respective fights.
"I don't want sympathy," Christine Zampese told Bengals.com. "This is life. And my life is family and football."
I love this because we have players and a team with high character that are all about our fans and about giving back to the community, even if the people that they're helping don't give a shit about football or the team.
He also realizes that there's people going through such trauma and difficult times in the world that his, along with a lot of us, have life pretty good.
I love that this comes at a time when we're 3-0 because, had this been 2005 or any of those years, our players would be out at bars and clubs celebrating like they're on top of the world, but this team is concerned with other people, living good lives, and focusing on the next week of football.
It's a GREAT time to in Cincinnati with an UNBELIEVABLE team, on and off the field!

Who gets extended. We can't (I doubt) keep both (and may not be able to keep either). Hall looks like he's bounced back so it won't be an easy decision come this offseason. If you were the GM who do you try to keep?
