Not sure how his contract is built but with the recent signings of all these CBs I wonder if Waynes could be on his way out without playing one snap for the Bengals. Maybe injury concerns are still there. I personally don't want him to get cut. I'd like to see what we paid all that money for. However if it means extending Bates long term I'd be for it.

I would say no. According to Spotrac cutting him would only save $3.8 million with $12 million in dead cap space. 2022 we could cut him and save $11 million with $5 million in dead cap

No, he is the #1 CB. And there is no reason to think he hasn't recovered from a torn pectoral muscle.

Other than we seem to have horrible luck with injuries. We also have no training/rehab facility and a small medical staff.

Huh? Why would you believe they have no training/rehab facility? They literally have guys in during the offseason to do rehab work and get treatment. Burrow has been coming to Paul Brown to do his rehab with Sparling.

You just said it yourself. They come to Paul Brown. Paul Brown isn't a training/rehab facility. Show me where they have the training/rehab equipment in Paul Brown and I'll agree with you.
Do you think they just magically have some hidden underground bunker with tons of training/rehab equipment and a staff to go with it?

“ Burrow is probably looking at five days a week for several hours a day in the Paul Brown Stadium training room.”

You are wrong Brad. The fact you assume an NFL team doesn't have a training room or rehab area is ignorance. Below is a quote from their head athletic trainer talking about the water treadmill they have at the facility IN THEIR TRAINING ROOM!

“The HydroWorx pools without a doubt are the most versatile pieces of equipment that we have in our training room at Paul Brown Stadium. The applications are virtually limitless” says Paul Sparling, Head Athletic Trainer for the Cincinnati Bengals.

FFS Brad, it's a torn pec, they basically heal on their own. It's not like it's an ACL or something. And Paul Sparling and Nic Cosgray are very well respected Athletic Trainers. In fact, Sparling was Trainer of the Year last year. As for training/rehab equipment, they have a state of the art weight room, MRI maching, whirlpools, underwater treadmills, what else do they need?

That's a weight room where you can't even see the equipment or the size of it but it doesn't look like there's any state-of-the art machinery or anything and just looks like a high school-level weight room. Other teams have entire facilities.
That field is a joke. What can they get done on that? Not much of anything.

Training ROOM! Other teams have FACILITIES!
You act like it's ignorance to assume that we don't have a training room or rehab area, which I never said they don't, but it's a joke compared to what other NFL franchises have. They have a weight room that looks a lot smaller than gyms in the area and that "field" isn't a field.
They have an underwater treadmill? That's great but it's not something that makes missing everything else ok.

I have to agree that if you look at the Bengals team through the 2010 there always seems to be more injuries on this team than any I can think of in the NFL. Maybe it's our training staff. Maybe it's our strength coachs, but something seems to be off when it comes to injuries.

I showed you, you are still fighting it. You said we have no training or rehab facility, a facility is a place provided for a specific purpose. We have a training and rehab facility and you are wrong. The fact you want some sort of stand-alone building is nice, but it doesn't mean we don't have the facilities to properly do rehab as you alluded to.

Brad. No, they don’t. That video was a $2M expansion. What in the world are you expecting? Here is an article that gives you a look into other teams training rooms/facilities, and then they rank them. They have the Bengals at 6th.

I think that's just because we pay more attention to the Bengals and their injuries than other teams. If you look at the stats, we've actually been one of the least injury-prone teams over the past several years:

Off topic, but...
It's interesting to me that the Bengals just invested all this money into upgrading parts of PBS. I believe that was non tax payer money, correct? I know the lease is up in like 5 years or something like that. I'd have a hard time believing they would continue to invest millions of dollars into PBS if they knew they were eventually leaving in a few years.

I can see why you're asking that, but I don't think so. A read that the Bengals was forced to play their 8th CB last year because of injuries. I think it's a great move by the team having Apple & Phillips battle over the 4th/5th CB spots. Is there a team that has a better 4th & 5th CB 'combo' in the league?

This was a few years ago but was a huge upgrade and one of the best in the league. Brad said a gym smaller than a local gym...I thought that was funny because a local gym will have like 200-300 people at one time, the Bengals maybe 60-80? Why would they need a huge cavern for gym/weight room?

You can pay to have your MRI at PBS actually...its a source of revenue for them. I know people that have had their MRIs performed there.
