But I would comment Mike Tomlin should retire after they get beat by KC the next day. You guys don't deserve Mike Tomlin. If you don't enjoy the fact that you have been in contention for the playoffs every December for 15 years then screw you guys. Tomlin should leave you immediately. You guys don't deserve Tomlin and if I was him I would resign right before the Pitt vs KC game. F' the Steelers.

You guys don't deserve Tomlin and if I was him I would resign right before the Pitt vs KC game. F' the Steelers. Different expectations. If they WON in the playoffs (or were competitive the last couple years) you'd have a point. With the talent on the Steelers we do kind of expect to make the playoffs or have a chance to. But then to see the failure IN the playoffs makes it less newsworthy. I was opining last night about how everyone says what an amazing job Tomlin did this season when the defense was so bad (obviously not his fault, right?) and the offense was anemic (obviously not his fault, right?) and how LV lost their coach and still made the playoffs. And they were competitive in that game they lost last night. Next season, without Ben, will be one of the few very challenging seasons Tomlin has had when he couldn't just rely on his stars to make plays. So we'll see. We said the same about Cowher until he won the Super Bowl. Good but not great.

But I get that so many of you feel there is this vast conspiracy to help the Steelers via the refs vs the fact that officials are awful. Oh, and the whistle blew before the TD catch.

Tomlin had a dynamic offense with Ben, Brown, Bell, Bryant, etc. He underperformed with his best rosters so badly it's criminal.
Dude is complete ass.

Not to defend Tomlin, but I think it's appropriate to consider that his career (and Ben's as well) not only was simultaneous with the careers of Tony Dungy/Peyton Manning and BB/TB, but they also played in the same conference. That's a tough nut to crack. With Manning and Brady, there's essentially only one qb spot in the AFC each year.
Had Pittsburgh been in the NFC, I think BB gets a lot more Pro Bowls and the Steelers make at least a couple more Super Bowls.

The Steeler's did not have it easy with the Patriots in the same conference. How many NFL Championships did Miami have with the Killer B's in the 80's? Or with Marino in the 80's-90's??

This past week pretty much sums up all anybody needs to know about Tomlin. He has a mid-week press conference where he talks about knowing Damar Hamlin because he grew up in the Pittsburgh area and says "This is personal for me.". Then on Sunday, his players are giving each mock CPR in celebration.
